BIG RAPIDS -- Daniel Raymond "Wolfy" Wolfram, 59, of Big Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Westland, the son of Raymond and Marguerite Wolfram, and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1978. Daniel was a jack-of-all-trades, attended engineering school and worked as a self-employed contractor in the area.
Born "with a softball in his hand," Wolfy loved sports, and as the proud father of four children, he passed that love along to them. He was active in the Big Rapids Men's Softball Association, and recently returned from Las Vegas as a member of the 55+ national champion softball team. He had an extensive baseball card collection, and enjoyed his albums, especially listening to the Beatles.
Daniel is survived by his four children, Andrea Wolfram, of Fenton, Emily (Brenton) Leasure, of Thornton, Colorado, Justin Wolfram, of Appleton, Wisconsin and Dylan Wolfram, of Fenton; his parents, Raymond and Marguerite, of Big Rapids; and his sisters, Elaine Price, of Rochester and Cindy Seybold, of Davison.
Due to recent public health concerns, the family will hold private services at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Wolfy's family is planning a memorial softball tournament and celebration of his life later this summer.
