Nancy Cox Obituary

Nancy Taylor (Mead) Cox, 87, passed peacefully on September 11, 2025. Nancy, formerly a 45-year resident of Hersey, Michigan, was born to Chester and Vera (VanDeventer) Mead on October 18, 1937 in Amboy, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Thomas Edward Cox, on January 10, 1959, in Detroit. She loved spending time with family and friends, learning about her ancestors through genealogy research and found joy in playing games, sewing, knitting, gardening, and crafting. Nancy is survived by her sons, Steven (Christine) Cox and Patrick "Rick" (Lisa) Cox; grandchildren, Jennifer (Clark) Rasmussen, Matthew Cox, Zachary (Chloe) Cox, Kylie Zhang (Connor Hickey), Abigail "Abby" Cox; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth "Ellie" Rasmussen; many nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Vera Mead; brother, Robert Mead; and beloved Tom. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Nancy's memory to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans).

Nannette

Earlier today

My name is Nannette and I cleaned for your mom. I was saddened to hear of her passing. She was such a fun person. I can only imagine her spunk and quick wit in her better days. She was one of a kind. May she feel Gods open arms as he welcomes her to paradise.
