David Brown Obituary
Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Charlie Stevens officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Gilbreath Funeral Home.
He was born March 18, 1953, in Stanton, Texas, and married Debbie White Melton June 3, 1989, in Martin County, Texas.
David was a lifelong resident of Stanton and had worked various jobs during his life, including being a telephone man, operating a backhoe, and pipeline welding. He enjoyed farming and ranching and loved being a cowboy.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Brown of Stanton; three sons, Stoney Brown and wife Lorena of Stanton, Tim Melton and wife Kari of Abilene, and Dennis Melton and wife Ashley of Stanton; one daughter, Brittany Brown Biery and husband Andy of Rockport; one brother, Jerry Brown and wife Lyn of Midland; one sister, Linda Phillips and husband, Arnold of Stanton; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Karen White of Midland, and Bobby and Doris Holland of Stanton; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boots and Irene Brown; and one brother, Glenn Brown.
The family suggests memorials to a charity of your choice.
