Dylan Edward Lance, 16, of Big Spring, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Elwin Collom, officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
Dylan was born Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999 in San Angelo, Texas. He grew up in Big Spring and attended Big Spring schools. He was an outstanding athlete and loved baseball and participated in several state bowling tournaments. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. Dylan was a happy, joyful person who cherished his family and people enjoyed being around him. He will be missed by all.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include his father, Blake Lance and wife, Angela of Coahoma; his mother, Jennifer Thomas and husband, Thad of Big Spring; two brothers, Logan Pierce and wife, Gloria and their children, Liam and Mila, and Austin Pierce and wife, Kristen, all of Big Spring; one sister, Pace'Lei Lance of Coahoma; his paternal grandparents, Vernette and Lonnie Hill of Big Spring and Paul Lance of Coahoma; his maternal grandparents, Martha and Carl Ferrell and Michael and Judy Miller, all of Missouri; and numerous aunts and uncles, Billie Duncan, Chrissy Miller, C.J. Miller, Brandon Rodgers and Keith Lance and a very special aunt, Mandi Rodgers.
