Jesus Brito Obituary
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mt. Olive.
Jesus was born on September 7, 1934, to Melesio and Andrea Brito in Midland, Texas.
Jesus was a farmer for many years. He was employed at the Coahoma School District for 34 years. He enjoyed playing baseball with his team from Ackerly, fishing, listening to music, and spending time with family. Above everything he loved us all.
Jesus is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lupe Brito; his children, Sandra and husband, Henry Alvarez, Sackie Brito and wife, Kim Hargrove, Elvira and husband, Horace Atkinson, and Linda and husband, Mike Smith; son-in-law, Demetrio Alvarado; Belinda Crenshaw and fiancé, Mic Micensky; sisters, Carmen Hernandez, Lorenza Hernandez, Necie and husband, Willie Moreno, and Janie Martinez. Jesus is Apa or Buelo to 12 grandkids, 26 great-grandkids, five great-great-grandkids, several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
Jesus is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie Brito Alvarado; grandson, Jesse Collins; great-grandson, Bradley Collins; brother, Jose Brito; and sisters, Maria Garza and Margarita Alvarez.
Pallbearers will be Canyon Crenshaw, Josef Nairn, Collin Nairn, Julian Jones, Wyatt Gray, and Israel Martinez.
