Steven Robles Obituary

Steven Anthony Robles, 51, of Big Spring, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Visitation at Myers & Smith Funeral Home will be Thursday, January 23 from 9 AM to 9 PM. A vigil service will be conducted at 7 PM. The funeral Mass will be celebrated, Friday, January 24 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 10 AM followed by interment at Mount Olive Cemetery.
Steven was born November 29, 1973 to Johnny Munoz and Janie Martinez. He worked as a mechanic for West Texas Gas and also had worked for Targa Resources. He was a devoted husband, father, Ampa, and friend. Steven's grandchildren were his world. He loved watching them play sports or just any other opportunity to be with them. He also loved participating in them as well, he loved any sport that involved a ball or a bat. He especially loved playing golf and was a member of the Chicano Golf Association. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan as well. Steven was also a big joker and liked giving friends and family nicknames. He was a great cook who loved to Bar-B-Que and was an "awesome dancer" which was something that created the initial spark with his wife, Nancy. They have been a couple since 2003 and married in 2008. Steven had a "big heart" and would do anything he was able to in helping others.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Martinez Robles; his children, Paul Diaz (Ashli), Carlos Diaz (Mai), Amaris Diaz (Tim), Ryan Robles (Lauren), Danica Diaz (Andres), and Patrick Robles; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Abigail, Brayden, Bryleigh, Brantley, Dallis, Urijah, Ariella, Lilliana, Timothy, Scarlett, Chandler, Hudsyn, Christian, Beau, Elias, Adriel, and Mathias; his grandmother "Mom" who raised him Martina Espinoza; his sisters, Bonnie, Sandra, Veronica, Ina, Emily, Devoun, Bernadette, Lourdes, and Kristie; his brothers, Michael, Johnathan, Bobby, and Oscar; and his parents.
He was preceded in death by grandfather "Dad" Abraham Espinoza; a brother, Joey Robles; and his father-in-law, Joe A. Lopez, Jr.

I knew Steven for many years. We shared a lot of good times. We called him "RoboCop" . I remember at one time he held the unofficial homerun record in Big Spring little league. He had like 24 in a season! It was crazy! But as we all know records are broken and rumor has it an up and coming younger kid by the name of Jermaine Gonzales broke it. I was able to play golf with Steven this past August and it was good visiting with him. He was a good man. RIP Brother.
