Barbara Jean Taborek
FOUNTAIN INN, SC - Barbara Jean Taborek Majerus was called home to her Lord on Sept. 6, 2023.
She was born in Fort Benton, Mt. on Sept. 9, 1946 and was raised in Great Falls. She graduated from Central Catholic High School where she met her husband Daniel Majerus and the adventure began!
Working as civil servants for the U.S. Government, Dan and Barb lived all over the U.S. from Washington State to Georgia and spent 2 decades in Europe working for the U.S. Army and later NATO. While in Europe, Dan and Barbara traveled weekly exploring other countries, cultures, and foods which left a lasting impression on their kids.
Barbara was known for her smile and infectious laugh which frequently led to tears of joy. Her faith was lived out daily, spending early mornings with God in prayer and petition.
She was generous with everyone in her life, driving her kids to and from activities and patiently waiting for them to finish while enjoying her book. She was always ready to help someone in need with money, clothes, a ride and sometimes even brought them home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, her parents Frank and Francis, her brothers Ed and Larry, and sister Karen.
She is survived by her brothers Joe and Steve, sisters Peggy and Marylou and her children: Diana (Ralph) Rodriguez, Michael (Shawna) Majerus and Laurie (Tim) Shaw. She has 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren! Mom, we know you're having fun dancing with the angels! Love and miss you every day...
