Clyde Reed Obituary

CROW AGENCY - Clyde Dennis Reed, 58, of Crow Agency, passed away at his home, May 1, 2007.
Akdsihixiasaash "Outstanding Dancer" was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Hardin, a son of Louis and Marie Bull Chief Reed, Sr. He grew up in the Ft. Smith area, where he developed a love of the mountains. He attended local schools and graduated from Hardin High School in 1966. While in school, he excelled in basketball and track. He later attended Eastern Montana College and attained a bachelor of science degree in psychology in 1978.
Denny married Karen Locher and the couple later divorced. He was a champion arrow thrower for the Big Horn District. He loved training and racing quarter horses, watching sports on TV and was an avid Hardin Bulldog fan. However he most enjoyed his talks with Venessa and watching his family, nieces and nephews participate in sporting events.
He was a member of the Ties the Bundle Clan, a child of the Big Lodge Clan, American Quarter Horse Association and the Catholic Church.
His parents, brothers Danny Three Irons, Star Not Afraid, Jr., Buddy and Louis Reed, Jr.; sisters Erlise Chandler and Suzanna Three Irons; niece Royce Reed and nephew Terrance Reed preceded Denny in death.
Survivors include his daughters, Denelle Reed and Debbie (Horace Littlesun) Reed; a son, Alex Reed; a granddaughter Venessa Reed, whom he raised; his sisters, Carol (Pat) Alden and Carol Dean Reed; grandchildren, Lachelle, Talissa and Horace IV; his sisters, Marlene Walking Bear, Debbie Pretty Paint, Nelevette Siemion, Ramona Bull Chief, Doreen Afraid of Bear, Ruby Williamson, Rosanna Reed, Annette Couture and Myrtle Howe; his brothers, Lionel, J.D. and Henry Bull Chief, Jr., Stanley Pretty Paint, Larkin Chandler, Kenneth Spotted, Harlan, Gerald, Anthony Reed and Sonny Joe Reed; the children of Paul Nomee, Sr., Theresa Holds, Inez Bird in Ground, Mary Ann Hogan and Rose Chavez; his aunts, Rose Chavez, Harriett Leider and Sarah Pretty Paint; as well as his extended family, including the Reed, Bull Chief, Nomee, Spotted, Goes Ahead, DeCrane, Whiteman, Hogan, Holds the Enemy, Rides Horse, Old Coyote, Covers Up, Eagle and Hill families.

Rosary will be recited 4 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, in the Crow Agency St. Dennis Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Hardin Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
