Cody Lee Weschenfelder, our precious light, passed away from a motorcycle accident on Monday, March 17, 2008.
Cody was born in Billings on Jan. 6, 1981. He graduated from Shepherd High School in 1999. He attended and played college football in Valley City, N.D.
He was an accomplished athlete in wrestling, football, motocross and waterskiing. Known as "Scooby," he participated in the local boxing. Cody was also a self-taught craftsman and did beautiful finishing and masonry work.
Cody is survived by his mother, Vicki Schweitzer; father and stepmother, Dick and Linnea Weschenfelder; sisters Kelly and Roslind; brothers Ryan and Simon; loving friend Aundrea Soong; grandparents Pete and Millie Giovetti and Henry and Lil Weschenfelder; and other numerous family members and friends who will greatly miss him.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, at Smith's Downtown Chapel, 925 S. 27th. Interment will follow at the Laurel Cemetery. Casket will be open only at the chapel prior to services.
