Cornelia Kasten Obituary
CIRCLE - Cornelia "Carrie" (Smidt) Kasten was called home by her Lord on Dec. 11, 2009.
Carrie was born on March 21, 1922, in Britt, Iowa. She received her schooling in Laurel. On Feb. 20, 1942, she married Paul Kasten. They lived all of their lives together near Brockway. Carrie loved her family and greatly enjoyed her large family gatherings. She enjoyed music, dancing, cards and many friends.
Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; her parents, Walter and Anna (Sweers) Smidt; her brothers, Jack, Walter, George and Benny; her sisters, Alice Smidt and Anna Kass. Carrie is survived by her brother-in-law, David Kasten; her sisters-in-law, Agnes Sukut, Esther Sukut, Edie Pawlowski; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Circle. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church (WELS) in Circle. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Ev. Lutheran Church, PO Box 406, Circle, MT 59215. Condolences may be sent to the family at [email protected] or www.stevensonandsons.com. Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel of Wolf Point has been entrusted with the arrangements.
