PRYOR - Dallas B. Hugs Sr. (Awax-xaa-wee Heeleen Bachiiash "He That Battles in the Mountains") 63, of Pryor, passed away Jan. 25, 2015, due to health complications. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his entry into Heaven to meet Jesus Christ.
Dallas married Cheryl Stands; they had a special love for one another. He treated her like a queen and continuously protected her through his daily blessing by saying "Good morning and God bless you!" Although Dallas and Cheryl were married for only six years, they took on life as though they had known each other for 50 years.
Dallas had a strong and nurturing kind of love. Regardless of life's highs and lows, he remained optimistic and forgave people who attempted to sway him from reaching his ultimate goal, which was making heaven his home. You made it there and I know you are rejoicing with others who have made it in!
Words alone cannot express how much you are missed and loved! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life's journey! Moving on after your sudden absence in my life is going to be tough to handle.
Dallas is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children Bryce (Kim) Hugs Jr., Isaiah (Andria) Hugs, Mallory (Matthew) Bright Wings, Andrea (Peter) Big Hair, Elishah (Marya) Reevis, Goldie (DJ) Oleyte, and Sonni (JD) Blaine; brothers Jerome (Dora) Hugs, Kenneth Toineeta, Leland, Frank, William and Harvey Hugs, and Pie Glenn; sisters Shirleen Glenn, Merle Jean Harris, Pansy Hugs, Samantha (Curtis) Rides Horse, Sherry Hugs, and Dorothy Spotted Bear; 18 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dallas lived life to its fullest, regardless of outcomes. He was known for his positive encouragement and seeing the good in what was dealt to him. He was gifted in the way he could foresee past the current issues in this world. Dallas will be forever remembered by all of his loved ones. We love-love-love you, Dallas! We're a team!
