MUSSELSHELL - Emma J. Bosen, age 90, of Musselshell, passed away Friday, March 1, 2002, at her home.
Emma was born in Kramer, N.D., July 3, 1911. She moved to Musselshell with her parents, Mather and Margaret Miller, as a young girl. She attended Mus-selshell school and graduated in 1930. Emma was united in marriage to Joseph Bosen in May, 1931. They had three daughters, Marjorie Lar (Joe) of Mussel-shell, Barbara Koenig (Art) of Musselshell, Joyce Riley (Pat) of Cary, Ill.
Emma and Joe lived in Musselshell until moving to Billings in 1953. While in Billings, she worked various jobs to help support her family. Emma always had room in her home for all of her nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. For a clean bed and great food, her home was a revolving door.
After Joe retired, they moved back to Musselshell in 1974, where they spent their last years.
Emma is survived by her three daughters; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Elizabeth Amdor, Pearl Burton and Dorothy McCaffree. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bosen; her parents; two sisters, Anne Hillman and Violet Eden; also three brothers, Lynn Miller, Leo Miller, Marvin Miller; and one grandson, Chuck Olsen of Cary, Ill.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, at Wier Funeral Home in Roundup, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Roundup, with interment to follow at the Musselshell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Musselshell Quick Responders and Hawk Creek Fire Department.
