Evelyn Floth Obituary

Evelyn Grace Floth, 68, of Billings, and formerly of Livingston, died unexpectedly at her home, Jan. 10, 2006.
Evelyn Floth was born Dec. 21, 1937, in Sidney. The youngest of 10 children, to Evelyn and James Moore. She received her education there. She married Elmer Floth on Nov. 9, 1954. She was a homemaker for several years. She tied flies for Dan Baileys Fly Shop, and worked for over 25 years for US West, retiring in 2001.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers, her favorite the iris. She looked forward to "digging in the dirt" every year. She raised a big garden. She also enjoyed genealogy, knitting, traveling and making birdhouses to give to her kids. She will be remembered for a quick wit and a great sense of humor and her love for her grandkids.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and one son, Ronald of Sidney.
Evelyn leaves three sons, Irvan (Diann) of Billings, Steve of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Donald of Phoenix; one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Treva) Fievet of Livingston; two grandsons, Jarret and Justin Fievet and Justin's fiancée Trish Rose, all of Livingston; two granddaughters, Morgan and Alison Floth of Billings; one sister, Dorothea Huff of Columbus; one brother, Dan Moore of Billings; and special niece Margaret Gorman of Michigan.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m., at the Community Congregational Church in Columbus. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Mountainview Cemetery, also in Columbus. Smith Funeral Home of Billings is entrusted with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.

I'm heartbroken to learn of Evelyn's death. We worked together for years at USWest both in Billings & in Boise. She was always my "big sister" in my heart. I will miss her always.

Sorry that we could not come out to the funeral. We all loved Aunt Evelyn. She always had a story to tell and could have us all laughing, whether we wanted to or not. I will miss her dearly as she was always a great comfort to me when we talked.

I have great memories of Aunt Evelyn. I always look forward to her visits when I lived in Butte. Her smile and humor could brighten the darkest of days. I will miss that.
