Flonnie Hofferber, 83, of Billings, passed away suddenly on Friday, Sept 23, 2005, at the Deaconess Billings Clinic.
Flonnie was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Emigrant, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Kerschner) Richardson. She graduated from high school and married Daniel Hofferber Oct. 18, 1941, in Billings. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She worked as a sales clerk at Hart Albin Dept Store, Vaughn Ragsdale, J. C. Penney and S & L Department Store. She also worked at the Billings Monument Company, retiring in 1984. She then did food demonstrations at the Albertson Store.
Flonnie enjoyed reading, cooking, knitting, crocheting, watching old movies and her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Andrea (Gene) Hobby; her son, Dan (Carol) Hofferber; her brother, Bob (Alice) Richardson and four grandchildren, Jamie (Dale) Nixdorf, Blake (Traci) Hofferber, Dale (Lisa) Hobby and Bryon (his fiance Stephanie Cartier) Hobby and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Hobby and Hunter Nixdorf; a nephew, Jim (Teri) Richardson and a greatniece, Natalia Richardson.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister and brother-in-law, Tom and Louise Martin.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 27, at Smith West Chapel, 304 34th St. W. Interment will be at Mountview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice or the Pilgrim Congregational Church.
