Genevieve Kuck Obituary

Genevieve Webb Anderson Kuck

Genevieve Webb Anderson Kuck was born during the Great Depression on September 25, 1933 to John and Fannie Webb. She was the fifth of eight children who grew up in a one-room family farmhouse near Belfry, Mont. The Webb homestead was without running water or electricity, so carrying water from the Clark's Fork River to the house was GeeGee's job from the time she could handle the chore until the day she left home. She often told a story about falling through a hole in the ice and nearly drowning at a young age. Thankfully she survived that incident because she went on to live a very full and meaningful life.

Graduating from Belfry High in 1951, GeeGee she was a proud member of the girls basketball team and glee club. After graduation, work took her from Yellowstone Park to California, finally settling in Billings where she met Mickey Anderson, who she married on February 12, 1955. Two daughters, Barb and Darlene, completed their immediate family. GeeGee was proud to be one of the few working mothers of her generation, working nearly 30 years at Pierce Packing. The family filled their lives with adventure, sport, and dancing. The Andersons were the "couple to watch" on any dance floor. GeeGee prematurely lost the love of her life to cancer in 1997. In 2002, she discovered the music plays on and married Ervin Kuck. The two of them danced and traveled for 22 years until his passing in 2024.

GeeGee maintained an active lifestyle. In addition to dancing, she religiously attended her aerobics and jazzercise classes three days a week, attending her last class just three days before her death. Her physical capabilities were inspirational to all who knew and loved her. Good health allowed her to fully enjoy her loved ones as her grandkids and great grandkids were added to the family.

GeeGee was a caretaker by nature, but her recent lymphoma diagnosis required her to slow down and be taken care of - an honor taken seriously by her daughters. She was adamant about maintaining her physical abilities and did NOT want to be sick. An unexpected heart attack peacefully took GeeGee from this world on April 28 prior to the suffering she would have likely endured due to cancer. We weren't ready to let her go, but we find comfort that she exited this world with strength and dignity as she desired.

Her large blended family and many friends were GeeGee's primary source of joy. Survivors include her brother Dean (Jane) Webb; daughters: Barb (JD) Schuman, Darlene (Bill) Rector; Grandchildren: Shane (JJ) Fuchs, Brandi Paulbeck, Chloe (Dylan) Mahoney, Josh Bestrom, Angela Schuman, Scotty (Jeni) McKnight, Pat Rector, Jeff (Charissa) Rector, Betsy Rector (Justin); Great grandchildren: Alden, Ashley, Danika, Kalei, Hollis, Decker Gene, Buster, Louise, Aubrey, Kane and Henri. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews in the Webb family, and in laws in the Penfield/Anderson families and Kuck families. She was preceded in death by husbands: Mickey Anderson and Ervin Kuck; grandson: Danny Fuchs; parents: John & Fannie Webb; and siblings: Ada, Jim, Elmer, Bill, Andrew and Joyce.
