Geraldine Kay "Geri" Clare obituary

Geraldine Clare Obituary

PLANO, Texas - It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Geri Clare, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, daughter and friend. Our hearts rejoice that she is in a better place.

Geri finished her lengthy battle with breast cancer on Sept. 10, 2009, age 72, passing away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Even in times of great physical challenge, she never lost her strength, determination, quick wit, and love of life.

Geri was born on Aug. 3, 1937, in Billings, to John and Thelma Lambrecht. Geri lived in Texas in the Plano and McKinney area for over 30 years. She was a successful business owner in the window film and glass industry. She enjoyed meeting new people and hearing their stories, and she loved to travel.

Geri is survived by son, David Clare; daughters, Lisa Spotts of Plano and Catherine Hall (husband Joe Hall) of Germantown, Md.; two grandchildren, Amanda and Brandon Spotts of Plano; brothers' wives Jean Lambrecht and Dona Lambrecht; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Clare; brothers, Bob Lambrecht, Richard Lambrecht, Al Lambrecht and wife Jan, and Jack Lambrecht, all of Billings.

Visitation and vigil will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2700 W. Spring Creek Pkwy., Plano. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, with Rev. Msgr. Henry Petter, Celebrant. Graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.
