Justin Banta Obituary

7-5-74 - 4-13-05

Born in Salmon, Idaho, son of Mary Eggum and Curtis Banta.
This poem was left by Justin on his last visit home to Billings, Feb. 11, 2005.

Broken Dreams

As children bring
their broken toys
With tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams
to God
because He was my Friend.

But then instead
of leaving Him
In peace to work alone,
I hung around
and tried to help
With ways
that were my own.

At last I snatched them back
and cried,
"How can You be so slow" -
"My child," He said,
"What could I do?
You never did let go."

Mary, My heart aches for your loss. Dusty and Justin were great friends and you were always there for him also. He will always be remembered by us. Again, I am so sorry for the hurt you are enduring. I wish there was something I could say or do to make it easier for you.

Dear Mary and Family-

Words cannot express the deepest sympathy I feel right now for you. I don't know the right words to express that would give comfort to you right now, but just know that you and Justin are in my heart. I think back at all the fun times we had and I cherish all of them. I will really miss Justin. God bless. All my love and best wishes.

I send my condelences to the Eggum & Banta families. Justin was a friend of mine for 14 years. He had a unique personality and adorable smile that will never be forgotten. Though we now are far apart, he holds a piece of my heart. I never knew how much I'd grieve when it was time for him to leave, or just how much my heart would ache from that one fragment that he would take. The memories I have of Justin will long live on. Love Always,

Dear Mary, family, and friends -

There are just no words to express how deeply saddened we have been since learning of your loss. Although we did not know Justin, Vern and I do know the great love you had for him, and that he was a special friend to our nephews Gabe and Jeraco. They felt very close to Justin and will always miss him.

Please know that we are lifting you up in prayer for a special touch of peace that only our Lord can give. May you be blessed with many vivid, happy "Mommy" memories and the knowledge that Justin is now in the loving arms of his heavenly Father who will care for him forever.

Sharing your loss and pain,

Cheryl and Vern Bass
