Ken Knudson Obituary

SACO - Ken Knudson, 82, of Saco passed away on Friday, April 12, 2002, at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital in Glasgow of natural causes.

Born on the homestead 18 miles south of Saco, to parents, George and Margaret (McEachen) Knudson, Ken attended the Bowdoin, Harb and Pippin schools, and graduated from Saco High School. On Dec. 31, 1943, Ken married Jane Fetterman in Saco. He farmed and raised cattle with his parents and brothers, George (Bud) and Ray in the Saco area until 1974. He was active in the Independent Order of Oddfellows for 53 years and served as Grand Master of Montana in 1983. Ken also served on term as a member of the School Board and was on the Primary and General Election Boards for many years. He was talented in mechanics, carpentry, and woodworking, and enjoyed following local high school sports.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents George and Margaret, his brothers Ray and Freddie, a sister, Mary, and a son, Max, who died in the service of his country in 1966.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jane (Fetterman) Knudson of Saco; daughters, Mary Sue and (Rich) Sudduth of Saco and their son, Richy, and (Kris) Sudduth and grandchildren Tony, Matt, and Kayla Sudduth, all of Saco, Connie and Jim Schultz of Fort Peck, and their son, C.J., and (Sabrina) Schultz of Albuquerque, N.M., and daughter Jalynn Schultz of Jamestown, N.D.; Laurinda and (Oscar) Miller and their daughter, Janae, of Billings, a brother, "Bud" Knudson and (Renee) of Saco, a sister-in-law, Glenna, of Saco, a brother-in-law, John, and (Ardeth) Fetterman of Saco, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the Saco Methodist Church with interment in Grandview Cemetery. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of the arrangements.
