Michael Hurry Obituary
July 12, 1960 - January 25, 2025
Michael James Hurry passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2025 at the age of 64. Mike's motto in life was "age comes from wisdom and experience" and he lived his life by that.
He was born on July 12, 1960. After graduating from Billings Senior High School in 1978 Mike began working in the sheet metal industry. He started his training and apprenticeship in Billings, MT and carried the trade with him as he moved to Oregon and finally Washington. He advanced through the system as journeyman, foreman and finally a supervisor. In 2022 he retired and resided in Bonney Lake, WA where he spent countless hours remodeling, landscaping and making various other improvements to his home. His home was referred as the "Hurry Zoo" and included a pond for the ducks to swim in.
Mike is survived by his wife Amber Hurry and step-children Joshua and Jake Trunell and their families. Immediate family includes his mother Shirley Hurry, sisters Sherri Hurry (Chad Martens), Lorri Hurry and Patti Jo (Randy) Searer, Nieces Kayleen (Lyle) Peters, Jaycee (Pecos) Cook and nephew Taylor (Page) Searer, and great nieces Kinlee and Leah Peters and Rietta Cook.
A celebration of life for Mike will be held at the F.O.B. Billings, 526 Laurie Ln, Billings, MT, 59105 on May 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
