BELGRADE - Micheal Robert George, Jr., 35, of Belgrade, formerly of Bridger, passed away surrounded by family and friends Thursday morning, May 8, 2014, of complications from cardiac arrest.
Micheal was born to Mike and Diane George on March 2, 1979, in Billings. From the moment he opened those big, dark brown eyes he had our hearts. He grew up in Bridger, Mont., and excelled in all sports. His passion was always baseball, from Pee Wee ball, through Little League, to adult co-ed and men's softball.
Micheal graduated from Bridger High School in 1997 and Northwest College in Powell, Wyo., with an Associate of Science degree. He moved to Belgrade, Mont., and worked at Interwest Tire Factory for many years. Micheal then took a job for Newalta Environmental out in North Dakota; commuting from his home in Belgrade.
Micheal loved the outdoors from the time he was a young boy. Whether it was camping, sledding, 4-wheeling, fishing....he loved it all and embraced the adventure. There was not a campfire he couldn't resist to make "better!"
Micheal was an avid collector of all things baseball. He never really had a favorite team because he just loved the game, no matter who was playing. Mike played co-ed and men's softball for the past 15+ years. Many of his teams won tournaments and Micheal took home several MVP's (including the lifelong friends he met along the way).
Recently, Micheal had taken up the hobbies of visiting pawn shops and of purchasing a variety of guns. Let's just say Mike was ready for the zombie apocalypse!
Micheal will be sorely missed by his family and multitude of friends....swing for the fence Mike!
Micheal is survived by his parents Mike and Diane George of Bridger; brother Dustin (Kayla) George of Billings; sisters Gina George (Tyler) of Lewistown, and Katie George of Bridger; nieces Rylee and Blythe Armstrong of Lewistown; Grandmother June George of Bridger; best friend Duane Rahn of Belgrade; special friend Kathleen, who stole his heart; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and all friends and people who were touched by Mike.
Micheal is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Hubert and Pat Brabec; and aunt Fran Brabec.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, at 1 p.m. in the Bridger High School Gymnasium. Smith Funeral Chapels in Billings is assisting with arrangements.
