Mike Krieger Obituary

CUSTER - Our friend, brother, uncle, and son, Mike Krieger, 55, of Custer, passed away unexpectedly at home on Oct. 12, 2006.
Mike was born in Billings on March 22, 1951, the fourth child of Gideon and Anna (Weixel) Krieger. He grew up in Worden, where he graduated from Huntley Project High School in 1969. He then attended the Western Technical College in Englewood, Colo., and graduated with a degree as an Automotive Technicians on May 28, 1970. After graduation, Mike moved to Billings, where he was employed by Midland Dodge. Because of his love of working on vehicles, Mike owned and operated his own vehicle repair shop in Worden, Worden Repair, for a number of years. He enjoyed flying and earned his pilot's license in his spare time. He was always there to help others, serving as a volunteer for the Worden Fire Department and the Worden Ambulance Service. Mike was most recently employed at the Patterson Ranch in Custer.
During his spare time, Mike enjoyed flying; hunting; fishing; looking for, cutting, polishing, and creating beautiful agate jewelry; and spending time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his parents, Gideon and Anna Krieger of Billings; his sister, Joanne (Dick) Reisbig of Billings; his brother Eugene (Nancy) Krieger of Huntley; his brother Garry (Linda) Krieger of Billings; as well as numerous nephews, nieces; godchildren; aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nephews, great-nieces and many friends.
Mike will be greatly missed by those of us who knew and loved him. He had a great gift for gab, and he will always be remembered for his generous heart and kind spirit.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m., at the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th St., in Billings.
Should family and friends desire, memorials may be made in Mike's name to the Worden Volunteer Fire Department or the Worden Ambulance Service, PO Box 369, Worden, MT 59088 or a charity of their choice. Smith Downtown Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

Keith and I were so sorry to hear about Mike. As cousins, we'd lost touch. The last time I saw him was when Keith and I moved my mom from Billings to Minnesota in 2004. He was at a BBQ Joanne threw for the family before we left. Knowing how much I like rings, my mom asked him to make a ring for me. It's a simple black stone in a silver setting and I wear it quite often. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I will always remember him as my friend, even though I lost touch with Mike over the years. My heart goes out to all of you.
