Miriam (Frank) Ostwalt
BILLINGS - Miriam (Frank) Ostwalt passed away on June 17, 2024 into the loving arms of our lord. Miriam was born on September 12, 1932 to Henry and Catherine Frank. She grew up in Laurel, MT graduating from Laurel High School.
Miriam married Conrad Ostwalt on June 20, 1953 and they were blessed with four children, Leonard, Gail, Marilee and Duane. This June 20 would have marked 71 years of marriage.
She worked for Johnson & Johnson Trucking Company, Hal Perry Machinery and Easter Seals as a Secretary and Bookkeeper.
Miriam was active in Billings Friendship Chapter 124 and a member of Bath Zappia Temple No. 21 Daughters of the Nile. She was also a longtime member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Billings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters: Amelia and Lydia, her brothers: Georgie and Victor, two daughters: Gail and Marilee and her son, Duane. She is survived by her husband, Conrad; son Leonard (Ella); son-in-law, Gregory Thomas; sisters-in-law: Betty Aman, Judy Frank; brother-in-law, Eugene (Dianna) Ostwalt; five grandchildren: Jason (Tianna) Thomas, Bradley Thomas, Kaylyn (Micheal) Hampton, Kyle (Kayla) Ostwalt, Jennifer Ostwalt (Kenneth Froelich); and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Smith West Chapel, 304 34th Street West, Billings, MT. Funeral Services Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Smith West Chapel. Internment will follow at Laurel Cemetery. Reception following internment at Billings Masonic Center, 1101 Broadwater Avenue.
