Nelson Cahill Obituary

Nelson "Kay" Cahill passed away Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at his home in Billings.
Kay was born April 14, 1910, at Indianapolis, to Jacie and Arthur Cahill. He was an only child.
He served in the army during WWII in the military police. Prior to the war, he played organ/piano. He and Carolyn (Munday) Cahill were married in Texarkansas, on June 5, 1946. Their only child, Jan, was born in 1948. Following WWII, he returned to Billings, where he would spend the rest of his life with his beloved wife of 59 years. Kay played organ and piano in various clubs in Billings, including The Elmo, The Turf, The Bella Vista, The Vegas Club, The Windmill and many others. He was an extraordinary man with multiple talents, including music and art. Many of his paintings can be found throughout Billings and the region. He was asked to do many portraits of people in Billings.
He is survived by his beloved wife; son Jan (Angie); grandchildren, Jay Cross, Robert and April Cahill; and Geraldine Alford, cousin.
He was a hero and inspiration to his son.
Cremation to take place at Dahl Funeral Home.
