Phyllis Walter Obituary
Phyllis Eileen Walter passed away on April 29, 2004, while a patient at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Walter was born Aug. 10, 1910, in Belmont to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helgeson. She married Harvey Walter on July 27, 1933, in Roundup. She lived in Lavina until 1995. Harvey preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1977.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Alton, Henry (Lars) and Basil Helgeson and one sister, Inez Hamilton.
She is survived by her four children, Gary Walter (Carol) of Great Falls, Rick Walter of Rock Springs, Wyo., Denise Kallem (Bob) of Joliet, and Cheryl Croy (Mike) of Rock Springs, Wyo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Viola Helgeson of Park City, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations may be made on Monday and Tuesday, May 3 and 4, at Smith Downtown Chapel located on 120 N. 26th St. in Billings. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, at the Lavina Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Lavina Senior Center. Smith Downtown Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
