Pierre Attallah Obituary

Pierre Terry Attallah, fondly known as Terry to all his family and friends, was born September 19th, 1939, in Alexandria, Egypt to Georgette (Marinos) and Joseph Attallah.

He attended the College Saint Marc in Alexandria and enjoyed a long career as a banker.

After the breakdown of his first marriage, he came to Billings, Montana to stay with his sister, Therese and her husband Chuck Osburn. Here he fell in love with their neighbor and close friend, Eileen Orser. They were married on March 19th, 1999 in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho and embraced a second lease on life together.

Terry became a much loved addition to the Orser clan. An avid sports fan and a lover of good music, he was frequently seen at Eileen's grandkids' sports and music events. He was a valued addition to the family's card games and a formidable foe at Backgammon. He and Eileen loved to entertain at their cabin on the Boulder River. It was his favorite place to be and they seldom missed a summer weekend as long as their health allowed.

In his younger days, Terry was a talented basketball player and coach. He played for the Alexandria Sporting Club, the Alexandria Creek Club and the Egyptian National Team. He went on to coach the Egyptian National Women's Team and the Alexandria Sporting Club Team. He remained an avid fan of the game throughout his life. He proudly followed his son, Alain's, career playing and coaching basketball in Egypt, Denmark and Switzerland. In the US he followed his step-nephew, Pryor Orser's, career coaching college teams in Montana and Colorado.

After the loss of his beloved soulmate in February, 2022, his health deteriorated and he moved to Athens, Greece to be near his birth family. Sadly, his health continued to decline and his body finally failed him on January 9th, 2024. He is now at peace and happily reunited with his parents, his sister Therese and his beloved, Eileen

He is survived by his twin brother Antoine Attallah (Ioann). his children: Alain (Rita) and Caroline (Bahaa); his grandchildren Nathalie and Marc Attallah, Sara, Youssef, Omar and Nivine Galal; stepchildren Gary (Ann) Jim (Liz) Orser and Julie Orser Odermatt; his nieces and nephew Cindy Osburn Thelen, Liz Atkinson (Dean), Pavlos and Rita Attallah; his great-niece Brooke Crennen (Tyler), great nephews: Jimmy and Sean Atkinson and his first wife, Iro Psorulla.

He will be greatly missed by all who had the good luck to know him. Our many happy memories will keep him alive in our hearts.

Terry and Eileen were wonderful hosts. at their cabin on the Boulder. Enjoyed many games of Shanghai Rummy eating Terry's homemade hummus. I even managed to win once!

Terry was a wonderful and caring person!! Someone that you wanted to see, wanted to be around, and wanted to emulate. Terry was a fierce, but gracious competitor with this special kind heart and warm soul. RIP Terry and we will "catch you on the rebound".

Terry was a wonderful and loving person I was lucky enough to know. He always has a kind word and a lot of food for me and my family. My children, David, and I loved to spend time with Terry and are so happy to have had him in our lives.
