Richard Shaules Obituary

Richard "Dick" L. Shaules went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a long battle with illness on Friday Jan. 20, 2017. His wife Francee was at his side through it all.

Dick was born on Oct. 18, 1938, in Billings. He moved to the ranch on Arrow Creek south of Ballantine in 1947. He graduated from Huntley Project High School in 1956 and attended Rocky Mountain College where he met his sweetheart, Frances Mae Spear. Dick married Frances "Francee" in 1960.

Dick was a hardworking, successful farmer and rancher on Arrow Creek for 50 years. He loved the ranch and ranch life. Dick loved his family more than anything. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He was known for his generosity and desire to help others.

Dick was an intelligent man. He loved to read and had an amazing memory. He was full of laughter and had a great sense of humor. His personality was larger than life and he was a go big or go home kind of guy. He greatly enjoyed airplanes and became licensed to fly privately and commercially. He loved flying his Super Cub airplane.

Dick is survived by his wife Francee, sons Clint and Marc (Michele) Shaules, daughter Bethany (Jamie) Shaules, grandsons Jon, James (Marti), Sam, Kendall Shaules, granddaughter Alethea (Jess) Shaules, great-granddaughters Anessa Johansen, Maggie Shaules, brother Don (Wesleta) Shaules, and sister Mary Koss.

He is preceded in death by his parents Kendall and Frances Shaules, and brother Dave (Lois) Shaules.

Dick requested a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Ballantine UCC Church. Visitors are welcome at the ranch anytime, please call.
