I first met Bob while in votec program for diesel mechanics. A few years later I worked in the work study program at MSU-B. The job was at the COT as a janiter. This was the time that I truly grew to know Bob as a boss and true friend by end of that time. He was of the best bosses I ever had. I have often thought of him these long years. He will be truly missed.

At our first meeting, we developed a strong connection because both our names started with Robert James. Bob was the most positive person I have known. No matter how badly I perceived a situation, Bob could always find something good about it. I truly miss that attitude even though I no longer live in Montana. May God comfort the Carr family in this time of grief.

Joan and family, I'm sorry we can't be there in person to join you in celebrating Bob's life. We appreciated his civic spirit and good humor in working with him on many projects and in many organizations, particularly Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch. Our lives are richer because of him. We pray for peace for you all during this time.

I met Bob and Joan through my husband, Rod Griffin, and from the time I met them, I knew they were loving and caring people. When I went through a crisis at work, they were comforting and encouraging, and Bob would especially check in with me to see how I was doing. His words were like medicine for my soul, and his smile and hugs seemed to replace my anxiety with strong hope. His faith and servant's heart will always be an example for me. My heart goes out to Joan and the family as you grieve and celebrate his life.

Bob and Joan were the ones to start an annual BBQ in our neighborhood. Everyone was invited. It was meant for neighbors to get to know each other. He was such a good, kind and giving person. He will be sadly missed in our neighborhood.

Bob was a very good and faithful friend and an example of how I should live my life. Words fail me as I think of how he will be missed by so many. I can see the smile on his face as he looks at the smile on the face of Jesus.

Without question, Bob was a close personal friend. I had the opportunity to work with him when we both worked at MSU-Billings. Nearly every Sunday following church services, Bob and a group of other friends met for coffee and solved all of the problems in our world. I know he is in a better place, but he will always be honored at our Sunday morning coffee, and we will save a seat for him! My heartfelt condolences to Joan and the entire family.

I am incredibly blessed to have known Bob even in the short time that I´ve lived here in Billings. He was such a prayer warrior. I already miss seeing him pray in the church parking lot. I praise God for the eternal hope we have in Him and that I´ll get to worship alongside Bob in heaven. I pray for Jesus´ peace and comfort for the Carr family during this time.
