She lived a long and happy life, and loved going fishing with her oldest son. She was an excellent cook and had cooked at many restaurants before she changed occupations and became a seamstress. She did alteration work until her eyesight began to fail. She was very independent and lived by herself until a year ago when it was becoming difficult for her to see. She then moved in with her youngest daughter who took care of her until her death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at the Jubilee Christian Center; 3611 Highway 312 East. Cremation will follow services. Smith Downtown Chapel has charge of arrangements.

It doesn't seem like Grandma is really gone because she lives on in my fond memories, and there are LOTS of them. I'm so glad she was around while I was growing up. Thanks, Grandma, for sharing your yummy recipes with Mom (Arlene) who shared them with me, as I share them with our girls, Lindsey & Rachel. We love you and miss you, Grandma.

We will always miss grandma but i know she is in heaven and we will see her someday. I'm so glad i got a picture of us 5 generations of girls. It is of grandma, my mom(Arlene), me (Danita), Christie (my daughter), and Kayla (Christie's daughter). Love you grandma. George, Danita, and Alexis.

I will miss Grandma. I have many memories of her while I was growing up. I'm glad that my two older children were able to see her several times and now have a few memories of their own. I take great comfort in knowing that some day I will see her again in heaven. We love you Grandma. Christie(maust) Amundson

We are sorry for the loss. Knowing that grandma was a christian, she's in peace with the Lord. We have fond memories of the last time we were with her. With our prayers and love.
