Ruth "Bunny" Brisbo

1929 - 2023

Ruth "Bunny" Brisbo was born on March 12, 1929 in Fort Belknap, MT to Annie White Cow and William Brisbo. After graduating from Flandreau Indian School, she moved to Havre, MT where she met her husband, Bill Winchell, and started her family. She had nine children- Linda (Manny) Duran, Mathew "Doug" Winchell, Judy Brough, Roger Winchell, Susan Gonzalez, Sula (Sonny boy) St. Mark, Suane Winchell, and Shannon Winchell. Bunny was blessed with 30 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She moved to Billings, MT in 1990 and spent the rest of her life there. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, studying the Bible, and was an avid collector of a variety of treasured items. She was a beautiful woman who loved to dress in vivid colors and eye-catching jewelry. She'll be remembered by those who love her for her sharp wit, unrivaled sense of humor, her biting sarcasm, and her ability to bring comedy into any situation. In 1983, Bunny was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and dedicated the rest of her life to serving Jehovah God. She credited her God with saving her life when it was at its lowest, embracing his wonderful traits of patience, love, and forgiveness. She was incredibly proud of her family members who followed in her footsteps of devoting their lives to God and remained positively enthusiastic for the future paradise Earth and the family reunion that is sure to gather during that special time, John 5:28-29. Bunny lived an extraordinary 94 years of life and was the last surviving of her 13 siblings- Delores, Jeanette, Teresa, Inez, Vernie, William Jr., Shirley, Oliver, Edward, Edwin, Gertrude, Richard and Eddie. She is preceded in death by her son Ted Winchell and special grandson Raymond Dupree.
