William Pirrie Obituary

William Donald, III Pirrie

April 7, 1945 - July 27, 2025

William Donald Pirrie III, 80, passed away July 27, 2025, at the VA home in Sheridan, Wyo., after a long struggle with health issues from his service to his country in Viet Nam.

Born April 7, 1945, he is survived by two sisters, Joyce Pirrie and Paulette Lorraine Perkins. He had one daughter, Amanda Jo Pirrie.

Donald lived in many locations, worked in various jobs, but his joy was found in ranching. He loved to be on horses until his physical health would no longer allow.

He was proud of his service to his country in the Army, receiving two Bronze Service Stars. He was an Honor Guard member until his legs would not sustain him.

A graveside gathering will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Cody, Wyo., at 10 a.m., Friday, September 12, with Military Honor Guard attendance.

Memories and condolence can be shared on William's Memorial Page at www.BallardFH.com.
