Albert Earhart

Albert D. Earhart, 85, of Leeds, Alabama, passed away on November 9, 2025 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 25, 1940 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Al's early career was as a master plumber and master electrician. In the early 1960's, he began working with computers and was a software engineer for many years. He retired from Cooperative Computing, Inc., in Austin, Texas in 2002. Al was also a skilled carpenter, and when he wasn't traveling and camping, he enjoyed spending his spare time with a hammer in his hand.
Al was a member of First Baptist Church of Leeds, where he was longtime Sunday School Director, taught a men's Sunday School class, and was a member of the choir.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Zelma Earhart.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Gerry Earhart, his daughter, Cindy Earhart, and sons David Earhart and Brian Earhart, his stepdaughter, Jackie Adams (Clyde), and stepson Mike Wilson (Dian), grandchildren, Holly Harr (Roger), Rev. Ryan Adams (Laura), Rachel Geiger (John), Courtney Jones (Kevin), and Kori Whitfield (Chase), and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Earhart, of Powell, Tennessee.
Visitation for Al will be held Sunday, November 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Leeds at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM.
