Donna Blake Obituary

Donna Mae Endicott Blake, born March 1, 1932 to William Edwin Endicott & Bethel Mae Hutchens Endicott in Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on June 15, 2019 at age 87. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Blake; her daughter, Pamela Blake Hashemi; her parents and her two sisters, Ramah Endicott Gwartney and Betty Endicott Cash. Donna is survived by her daughter, Peggy Blake; grandsons, John Hashemi and Paul (Sarah) Hashemi; great granddaughters, Sydney, Evelyn, and Abigail; sister, Ginger Endicott (Earnest) Howton; brothers-in-law, Charles Gwartney and J.G. Cash; and dear friend, Sue Russell. She was a member of the Republican Women of Arkansas and Alabama. Donna was a greeter at Gardendale First Baptist Church. She was one of the few that saw the Berlin Wall fall and shook hands with an East Berlin soldier. Visitation will be Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Gardendale Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church Missions.
