June, I saw you at the funeral today. I wasn't sure if you would remember me. I hung out with y'all at your house in Bham a few times. Mostly I sat at the bar at red lobster. I met jeff when I worked at ruby Tuesday, and would visit the bar once I got off work. I quickly realized with Jeff's quick humor and infectious smile I would be entertained! He also loved Alabama football as did I! Jeff and I had deep meaningful conversations that I hope he appreciated as much as I did!
Jeff was so funny! I will always remember his impressions he did of famous people and was spot on! Jeff was a good guy who I looked forward to hanging out with every week! Learning of Jeff's passing took my breath away! I always thought I would know jeff and talk Bama football well into our old age! But god has a plan! I know we will see jeff again! I loved jeff like a brother!

I got to know Jeff by going to Red Lobster. He was a kind man who loved God, his wife, June, his family and his animals. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Taken too soon...Jeff was a good man and "father". I know he will be missed terribly, and I am praying and thinking of June and Destinie.

I don't want to keep posting on this, but I thought the family might like to read something that another Marine brother wrote about Jeff on my facebook page. Adrian was also our roommate, and the three of us had some good times together. Anyway, I found what he wrote accurate and beautiful and I thought I would share:

:Jeff was one of my first roommates in the Corps. He took me under his wing and made me feel like I belonged there. His humor was dry, dark and beautiful. His love of music enlightened me on groups I listen to today. his time in the Corps was cut short but his influence on me is strong even today. Watching him school folks on the basketball court was something to watch. I haven't spoke to him a lot over the years and that is now a regret I'll have to live with. Thank you Jeff for being rou. Rest in Peace Fellow Bealleau Woodsman."

Jeff was my Marine brother and roommate for a period of time in the USMC. We had some good times and made some good memories and only recently had reconnected to reminisce. I literally have nothing but good memories of Jeff and I always enjoyed his company and easy going personality. I cannot express how sad I was to learn just tonight of his passing. Please, accept my sincerest condolences and know he will be remembered by all of his Marine brothers that he served with. .
