Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Patrick Schumacher as celebrant. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery on Thursday.

Adam was born April 18, 1958, to Adam and Tillie (Leingang) Geiger. He was raised in Sioux County and graduated from Solen High School, where he was an honor student. He went on to attend Bismarck Junior College. Dec. 7, 2001, he married Margaret Riehl in Bismarck. Adam was self employed as a handyman as Adam Geiger Home Repair.
Spending time in the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting or camping, was what Adam lived for. Adam could be described as an independent and strong-willed person. This trait was very much evident in his battle with cancer for the past six years. He was very proud of being part of the organization called Sporting Chance. They take the challenged individuals hunting, fishing and water skiing, which he felt gave them a chance which many of us take for granted. During his illness, his dog, Rocky, was his constant companion, bringing him much comfort. Adam enjoyed the simple things in life, but most of all being with family and relatives was a highlight.
Adam will be deeply missed by his wife of six years, Margaret, Mandan; mother, Tillie Fischer and step-father, Francis Fischer, Bismarck; sister, Pam (Kaare) Gaustad, Scobey, Mont.; step-sister, Sheila (Mark) Reierson, Coon Rapids, Minn.; step-brother, Ron (Maria) Fischer, Grand Forks; and nephews, Dakota, Riley, Cooper and Tucker Gaustad.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Geiger Sr.; grandparents, Alex and Julia Leingang and Adam and Catherine Geiger; niece, Shyla Gaustad; and cousin, Curt Miller.
