MINNEWAUKAN -- Anthony (Tony) Lalum, 19, Minnewaukan, died Oct. 14, 2003, at a Minot medical center, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident near Leeds on Sunday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Minnewaukan School Gymnasium, with the Revs. Betty J. Stedman and Richard Budd officiating. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Annunciation Chapel, University of Mary, Bismarck. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Minnewaukan.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, Minnewaukan, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, and visitation will continue at the school Monday, an hour before the service.
Anthony (Tony) Alan Lalum was born May 20, 1984, in Devils Lake, N.D., the son of Carroll and Kathy (Feist) Lalum. He was raised near Minnewaukan, and educated at the Minnewaukan School, where he graduated as a tri-valedictorian in 2002. Tony was currently a sophomore at the University of Mary in Bismarck.
Tony was a confirmed member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Minnewaukan, and a member of the University of Mary Marauders football team. He enjoyed basketball, football, track, golf and water skiing. During high school, he was also a member of the science club.
Anthony is survived by his parents, Carroll and Kathy Lalum, Minnewaukan; one brother, Casey (Sherry Evenson) Lalum, Kenmare; his grandparents, Ella Lalum, Devils Lake, and Andy and Rita Feist, Linton; an uncle and aunt, P.A. and Mary Feist, Minnewaukan; and a cousin, Amber Feist, Edinburg, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Chester Lalum; an aunt, Linda Lalum; and a cousin, Cody Feist.
