Antonia Wolf Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-noon CST Friday, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, and from 1-2 p.m. MST Friday at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem, and from 2-8 p.m. MST Friday, at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Chapel, New Salem, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. MST Friday. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Antonia "Toni" Wolf, was born on Nov. 25, 1904, on the family homestead north of Judson, the daughter of Carl Oscar Edmund and Anna (Hoesel) Hoger. She attended rural Judson schools and married Fred Wolf on Dec. 8, 1923, at Bremen Church, Rosebud. They farmed one mile west of Sweet Briar until October 1955 when they moved to New Salem. Fred died on Feb. 19, 1963. Toni was a member of Peace Church, various card clubs and served as a volunteer at Elm Crest Manor. Toni enjoyed her family and friends and loved to crochet, quilt, garden and fish. She especially enjoyed playing cards and dice.
She is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Helen Sicble, Bismarck, Marian and Ray Hohbein, Mandan, Edna and Donald Hohbein, Tacoma, Wash., and Esther and Edgar Hoesel, rural New Salem; one son and daughter-in-law, Herman and Rose Marie, rural Mandan; 27 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Orr, Sedro Wolley, Wash.; and two sisters-in-law, Mimi Hoger and Helen Hoger, both of New Salem, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; one daughter, Alice Hohbein; one son, Herbert; one grandson, Bruce Hohbein; three great-grandsons, Bradley Sicble, Jaydon Hohbein and Travis Hohbein; five brothers, Edwin, Carl, Arno, Oscar and Max; two sisters, Martha Reuther and Ottilia Wolf; and two sons-in-law, Virgil Hohbein and Roy Sicble.
