Bentley Craigmile
A Memorial Service for Bentley Craigmile, age 1, of Bismarck will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, with Pastor Julie Anderson officiating. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Bentley passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at CHI St. Alexius Medical Center.
Bentley was born May 12, 2023, to Aaron and Ashley (Kuhn) Craigmile in Bismarck. He was also welcomed into his family by his dogs, Izzie and Charizard, who he loved and both brought so much fun and laughter to his days.
From the time he was an infant Bentley loved to be sung to. "You Are My Sunshine" could bring him comfort in most any circumstance. Evenings brought more joy when Bentley took to the water for his bath time, where he splashed and giggled before bed.
Bentley was reaching his first milestones and each day was met with the excitement of watching all his new firsts. Not surprising, his first word was Mama, and he and his Mom shared a love for giraffes. He was so close to walking, but wasn't ready to abandon his "superfast-scoot". He could get most anywhere, and he could do it in a quick blink.
He loved to be outdoors, especially at the park where he could be pushed in the swings. He also enjoyed books and being read to. He especially liked the texture books where he could touch, feel and point.
He will be remembered most for his sweet smile and happy demeanor. Always content. Unless he was hungry. Bentley love to sit in his highchair and eat – especially strawberries, those were his favorite!
Bentley will be sorely missed by his parents; maternal grandparents: Ray and Cathy Kuhn; paternal grandmother, Carla Craigmile; Uncle Alex (Traci) Craigmile and their children: Aubree, Bennett, Olivia, Elliana and Carter; maternal great-grandfather, Robert Keyes; paternal great-grandparents: LuElla Pleinis and Glenn Craigmile as well as several great-aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Craigmile; great-grandparents: Norma Craigmile, Herbert Pleinis, Raymond and Coletta Kuhn and Harriet Nelson.
