Delia Olin Obituary
NEW SALEM -- Delia Olin, 97, New Salem, formerly of Sims, died Sept. 13, 2000, in the New Salem nursing home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. MDT Saturday, at Sims Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Van Vechten Crane officiating. Burial will be in Sims Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today, at Elm Crest Nursing Home, New Salem, and after 3 p.m. at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, New Salem. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Delia was born April 13, 1903 at Sims, the daughter of Jacob and Bertina (Feland) Jacobson. Raised on the family farm, she married Arthur Olin on April 3, 1923 at Bismarck. They farmed east of Sims until they retired and moved to New Salem in 1969. Arthur died March 21, 1980.
Delia loved to read and spent many hours sewing, crocheting and knitting. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Gaynelle and Harold Neshein, New Town, and LoAnn Olin, Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Velma, Dickinson, and Ray and Carol, New Salem; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; all of her brothers and sisters; two infant children; her son, Keith; and her grandson, Josh Olin.
The family prefers memorials to the Sims Lutheran Church.
