Florence Gilhooly Obituary
Care Center, died July 21, 1997, in the care
center. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at St. James Catholic Church, Jamestown,
with the Rev. Bernard Pfau officiating. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown.
Florence Lizakowski was born April 2, 1913, in
Minto, the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth
(Shoults) Lizakowski. She was raised and educated
in Minto and graduated from Minto High School in
1930. She married Jack Gilhooly, Nov. 25, 1937.
Florence worked for 21 years at the Fair Store in
Jamestown, and retired in 1984.
She was a member of St. James Tabernacle, St.
Joseph's Circle, VFW Auxiliary, Jamestown Hospital
Auxiliary and Jamestown Women's Bowling
Association.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law,
Roger and Cleone, Bismarck; five grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; and one sister,
Ernestine Laramie, Chicopee, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack;
three brothers; and one sister.
