Gary Guscette

Gary D. Guscette, 79, of Wimbledon, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021 at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center in Jamestown.

He was born Sept. 16, 1942, the son of Duane Guscette and Evelyn (Bardell) Guscette Rebhahn in Valley City. Gary graduated from Wimbledon High School and then attended Valley City State College where he obtained degrees in math and science.

Gary obtained his pilot's license and became a pilot doing crop spraying. His first job teaching was a year at Wimbledon High School, then a year at LaMoure and then completed 17 years of teaching at Bowdon.

He worked in the chem-lab for Dakota Gasification Plant from 1988 until his retirement in 2009.

Gary is survived by his three brothers; Gile (Marjorie), Raymond (Judy), Jon (Delilah), three sisters; Jeannine (Tom) Bornemann, JoNell Guscette, Ava (Cary) Ost, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Alfred Rebhahn, sister and brother-in-law, Eileen (Robert) Cresap, infant brothers; Duane Guscette and Alfred Rebhahn Jr., nephew, Scott Guscette, and great-nephew, Ethan Guscette.

Memorial Service: Will be held at a later date.

Burial: Wimbledon Cemetery, Wimbledon.

Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home.
