John William Anderson, 88, passed away peacefully at CHI St Alexius with his family by his side on March 17, 2025.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home, 3723 Lockport St., Bismarck. Family will be greeting guests one hour prior to the service.
A livestream of the service will be posted to his obituary where you can sign the online guestbook and share memories with his family at www.bismarckfuneralhome.com.

As John's former neighbor, I remember many an evening when he would sit out on his front stoop-surrounded by children from our neighborhood. Regaling them with stories of his youth. Some true, some fantastical. He had one of our daughters convinced if she planted a popsicle stick in his vegetable garden, a popsicle tree would grow. She would check on it every day. It never grew, but somehow there was always an abundance of popsicles at his house. Life has a little less magic in it now that he has passed. I sure hope there are popsicle trees in heaven.

I was so sorry to see that John had passed away. Had some good times with Mary Ann and John. My thoughts are prayers are with all of you
