Judith Fockler Obituary

Judith "Judi" (Wetsch) Fockler

January 24, 1944 - October 8, 2025

Judith "Judi" (Wetsch) Fockler, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the Bismarck community, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at home with her husband in Bismarck, N.D.

Born on January 24, 1944, in Bismarck, Judi was the youngest of 11 sisters and one brother, growing up in a large and loving family. In 1960, she married Ervin Wetsch, with whom she raised three wonderful children. Years later, on December 7, 2010, Judi joyfully married Richard Fockler after a memorable proposal at a Menards, marking a beautiful new chapter in her life.

Judi was a woman of many talents and passions. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her life, always approaching her work with dedication and care. Her heart belonged to creativity, whether painting, decorating, remodeling, or working with tools like saws, hammers, and sewing machines, Judi's hands brought beauty and warmth wherever she touched. She especially treasured the winters spent in Arizona with Richard, where she found joy and peace.

Known for her genuine kindness, class, and amazing spirit, Judi's warmth and beauty touched everyone who knew her. She is deeply missed but forever remembered by her loving husband, Richard Fockler; her daughters, Dianne Turcotte and Tami (Dan) Satterlee; her son, Joe Wetsch; her granddaughter, Mandi (Joe) Edberg; her stepchildren, Amy (Kevin) Hammond, Aaron (Kinzey) Fockler and their children; her siblings, Donna Carufel, Lucille Harju; and brother-in-law, Don Meidinger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Judi's legacy is one of love, creativity, and unwavering family devotion. She leaves behind a world made brighter by her presence.
