Karlo Witikko

LISBON - Karlo "Kasper" Witikko, 80, Lisbon, formerly of Mandan, died April 26, 2006, in a Lisbon hospital. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at First Lutheran Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Larry Giese officiating. Burial will be held at Finnish Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kintyre.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bismarck Funeral Home, 3723 Lockport St., and will continue one hour prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; three daughters, Cindy Wegner, Longwood, Fla., Joanne (Tom) Jack, Dubuque, Iowa, and Sylvia (Pete) Fredericks, Halliday; one son, Arvid (Wanae) Witikko, Mandan; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha; his parents; three sisters; and eight brothers.

Sylvia, Joanne, Cindy and Arvie... So sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad was a great person, always made me feel like part of the family, teasing and having fun when I came to visit. My thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time of sorrow. Trust and lean on the Lord. God Bless you and your family.

I have fond memories of visiting the Witikko household to see my friend Cindy. Often we gathered around Kasper to hear stories of ole. He was a gentle spirit and a nice guy. My condolences to the family.
