Kenneth "Ken" Bertsch passed away April 16, 2016, at Swedish Hospital, Englewood, Colo. He was born April 30, 1949, to Orvind and Violet (Wolf) Bertsch in Eureka, S.D. He grew up in Lehr.
Ken had the biggest heart, and the deepest empathy for people who needed help, he would give you the shirt off his back. He loved people and could strike up a conversation with anyone he would meet. He worked as a mechanic and also had a lawn business.
He leaves behind two children, Becky (Bertsch) Vargas, Aurora, Colo., and David Bertsch, Littleton, Colo.; two brothers and a sister, Kelly (Dee) Bertsch, Bismarck, Karmen (Marybeth) Bertsch, Jamestown, and Roger and Vickie (Bertsch) Martin, Linton; two nieces and two nephews, Josh (Jess) Bertsch, Jamestown, Scott Martin and fiancee, Kelsey, Minot, Sadie Martin, Fargo, and Bethany Klipfel and friend, Brad Schlenker, Ashley; and a great-niece, Isabell Eastgate and a great-nephew, Oaklee Schlenker, Ashley.
Kenny will be missed. Even though life was rough, he never complained. He always said tomorrow is another day, and I am alright and it could always be worse.
