MeDonna L. Fryer, 70, Bismarck, died July 17, 2010, in Fargo. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck, with the Rev. DJ Lura officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, and will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.
MeDonna was born July 27, 1939, in Minot, the daughter of Raymond and Minnie (Haiby) Lauber. She grew up and attended schools in Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 1957. She went on to attend the University of North Dakota and Bismarck Junior College.
On March 28, 1959, MeDonna married Donald Fryer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck. They made their home in Bismarck. She worked at Bank of North Dakota, Montana-Dakota Utilities, North Dakota State Bar Association, Bismarck Civic Center and Youth Works. She also volunteered every Monday at a Heaven's Helpers Soup Kitchen.
MeDonna enjoyed her travels that took her to every continent except Antarctica. She was active with singing at church and at various functions in the community. She also enjoyed playing the guitar and piano.
MeDonna is survived by her husband, Don, Bismarck; her son, Jeff (Clare), Boca Raton, Fla., and their children, Shane (Megan), Sean, Kristin, Kelly and Kerri; her son, Daryn (Dawn Baumgartner), Bismarck, and their dog, Bailey; her sister, Judi (Donald) Clark, Fargo; her brother, Lowell (Priscilla) Lauber, Meridian, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
