Paula Witt Obituary
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, New Salem, and will continue at the church one hour before services.
Paula Walde was born Aug. 24, 1906, near New Salem, the daughter of Anton C. and Selma T. (Rasch) Walde. Raised and educated in the area, she married Carl Witt, Dec. 29, 1943, in New Salem. They lived in Glendive for many years. Carl died Dec. 10, 1987. Paula then returned to New Salem, where she lived with her sister, Emma, until becoming a resident of Elm Crest Manor in February 1999. Paula was very fond of cats and enjoyed a good game of cards with family and friends.
She is survived by her stepson, James Witt, Aurora, Ill.; her sister, Emma Klatt, New Salem; her niece, Marian Reuther and her husband, Otto, new Salem; her nephew, Carl Klatt, and his wife, Charlotte, Miles City, Mont.; and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Carl Walde; and one sister, Helen Klatt.
