I am sad to hear of Dr. Gattey´s passing. I worked in the OR with Dr. Gattey from the time he came to Moose Jaw until he left. He was a great surgeon who you could ask anything & get an answer that made sense! I was sorry to see him leave Moose Jaw but a solo orthopaedic practice would have been hectic.
He left big shoes to fill.
My condolences to all of his family.
Rest in peace.
Sincerely Marlene Ganyo

I moved to Dickinson, ND in 1995 and after a short period of time had the pleasure of knowing Dr. Gattey, a colleague in orthopedic surgery. We always seemed to have a connection and thought very similarly in how we treated orthopedic problems. I am deeply saddened and send prayers and condolences to his family.

So very sad to hear about family friend & co-worker, Dr Phil Gattey. One special memory when I was in the clinic float pool & was traveling with Dr Gattey (before I really got to know him) & help with Ft Yates satellite clinic-I asked myself-what the heck are we going to talk about driving down & back? Needless to say, it was nonstop conversation on both commutes & he was so kind, compassionate, & caring with his patients. I saw this first hand when he did my Mom´s knee replacements & she loved him, plus would see him at church. Phil & his boys would come out to our farm on different occasions to hunt, have fun on New Johns Lake, & slaughter beef. Phil Gattey was one of the most courteous, kind, & big-hearted man I´ve ever known. Sympathy to Nathan, Evan, Jared, Lynelle, & family. RIP Phil, you are with our Lord & Savior in Heaven

Sorry to learn of Phil's passing. I remember about 11 yrs ago he was called in to the ER to set my son's broken arm in a cast. He was visiting his wife's grave at the time, and came in immediately- no questions, no hesitation. Such an amazing, selfless person and physician. He will be missed.

I really liked working with Phil. He was a great surgeon and we had many many laughs at work. I know he was a devout catholic as we had some really good discussions on the subject. He was a great intellect that's for sure. My heartfelt condolences to Evan and all the Gattey family at this hard time.
