Hi! I was so sad to see that Charlie has passed away. As a young girl, growing up in Bismarck, my family was fortunate to belong to Apple Creek Country Club, and during the summer, every Thursday we would board a school bus and go to the Country Club, where Charlie would give us golf lessons. He was always so kind and patient, and he taught me things about the game of golf I still use today. I thought a lot of him and appreciated his kind manner.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Charlie. My father, Harry Thompson, who died in 1992, thought the world of Charlie while he was the greenskeeper and pro at Apple Creek CC in Bismarck. I shared those feelings as well, getting to know him well in my years of golf. He was a nice man.
