Ruben Willis Humann
BISMARCK - Ruben Willis Humann, 90, of Bismarck, passed away on February 25, 2024 at Augusta Place Skilled Nursing surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Bismarck with Rev. Thomas Moldenhauer officiating. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm at the Hazelton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Ruben was born on April 10, 1933 to Arthur and Magadelina (Maier) Humann on the family farm 12 miles west of Hazelton. ND. He was the 3rd of 11 children.
In November 1953 he joined the Army and served in Korea and Hawaii. He received several service medals and was honorably discharged in October 1955.
On October 6, 1957 Ruben married the love of his life Harriet (Beseler) at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hazelton and together had 4 children. They made their home on the family farm west of Hazelton and later moved to Badger Bay west of Hazelton. Ruben had a passion for taking great care of his land and livestock and was always willing to provide help to the neighbors. Ruben enjoyed camping and fishing, traveling to visit relatives and friends and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
