Five sisters: Debbie (Gary) Petermann of Mandan, Val (James) Ronquillo of Billings, Mont., Lois Keller of Mandan, Kristi (Jason) Schiermeister of Mandan, and Annie Otto of Bismarck; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; brother, Briant Hopfauf, and brother-in-law, Dan Keller.

When we were in junior high school we hung everyday. And we would lay out on the lawn watch the stars sometimes fall asleep in the grass. Go swimming at the river. Always listening to music.
When we got older I started doing bread work.
He came over and helped me sort them.
They were on my blanket. My phone ran. I pulled the covers back and sent them flying. We were both like NO WAY... And sorted them again. About the fourth time doing this we got smart and didn't put them on the blanket. We have been to many carnivals that came thru town. And he works give me ought bank rides from one bar to the next. The memories are so many. He was my best friend for so long. Even when we didn't see each other for years. We never missed a beat.
We never made a plan. But always had fun and doing some crazy things. I would talk him into anything. He was my partner in crime. And I will miss him dearly. Forever love him. My friend we will see each other again. And raise some hell

Scott and I hung out back in the day. My favorite memories are when he would come over to my house, we would lay on my front lawn, look at the stars and talk about anything and everything.

I appreciated working with Scott ,he and I both worked for Gary Plante about 20 years ago. I was on a painting crew. Scott was on a drywall crew. In the summer on days we were painting outside and it rained we would get sent to help the drywall finishers. If I didn´t understand how to perform a task Scott was always willing to show me how.
